Toros Model United Nations
Letter from the Secretariat
Dear Delegates, Faculty Advisors, and MUN Enthusiasts,
It is with great excitement and immense pride that we welcome you to Toros Model United Nations, an upcoming celebration of diplomacy, dialogue, and global citizenship. As members of the Secretariat, we have spent months preparing a conference that will not only challenge your perspectives but also empower you to find your voice in the world of international affairs.
MUN is more than just debate. It is a space where young minds from diverse backgrounds come together to discuss some of the most pressing issues of our time—from climate change and global health to peacekeeping and economic development. It is a platform where passion meets policy, and where ideas are transformed into action. Through every speech, resolution, and negotiation, we believe that each of you will leave this conference not only as stronger delegates but as more thoughtful global citizens.
This year, our conference is guided by the theme of justice—a principle that lies at the heart of diplomacy and global cooperation. Justice challenges us to consider fairness in international relations, to examine the structures that uphold or undermine equality, and to advocate for the rights and dignity of all people. As you engage with your committee topics, we invite you to reflect on how justice can shape the policies and solutions you propose, and how it can inform the way you listen, speak, and lead.
We’ve poured our hearts into making this conference meaningful. From selecting topics that matter to building spaces where all delegates feel seen and supported, everything we’ve done has been rooted in a shared belief in the power of dialogue. We want this to be more than just a weekend of speeches—it should be a space where you grow as thinkers, leaders, and collaborators.
To first-time delegates, we commend your courage in stepping into a new and dynamic world. To our returning participants, we’re excited to see how you’ve grown since your last MUN experience. And to our faculty advisors and supporters, thank you for guiding and encouraging the next generation of leaders.
As you explore this website and prepare for the conference ahead, we encourage you to begin thinking not only about the facts and figures related to your assigned topics, but also about the values and vision you wish to bring to the table. Your preparation will shape the discussions, but your passion will define the impact.
On behalf of the entire Secretariat, we are honored to host you at Toros Model United Nations. We look forward to witnessing your diplomacy in action and to the incredible conversations and connections that will unfold.
See you soon at the conference.
Warmest regards,
Ece Yıldırım (Secretary General)
Hena Kucuk (Director General)
Ünal Can Güngör (Deputy Secretary General)
